two weeks of Will They or Won't They
Will I ever have my act together enough to send one of these out on my actual release day? Probably not, but this is as close as I’m getting for this one! The world only spins forward!

So much has happened over the past two weeks that I feel overwhelmed trying to cover it all, so here are at least a few things:
- I had four events in four different cities, and I truly can’t put into words how wonderful they were!! Before each one, I was sick to my stomach that nobody would show up, that I’d babble uncontrollably, that I’d put my foot in my mouth, that I’d be stumped into silence. Those last three things probably did happen, but that’s okay, because I had such an amazing time meeting readers, putting 3D faces to Instagram names, and celebrating with my friends and family. If you came to one of them, THANK YOU!!! I loved meeting you (or seeing you again)!!!!!
My husband was my dedicated photographer for all of them, which meant I had to spend some time after each event sorting through dozens of candid pictures of myself, an activity I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The good ones are on my Instagram, because that’s the place for them, but I think my newsletter is the place for this one where he caught me in the middle of what is clearly a stressful thought.
- My last event is on July 22nd in LA (!) at The Ripped Bodice (!!) with Christina Lauren (!!!) and it’s sold out (!!!!) (I assume even if you didn’t get a ticket, you still have a chance of getting in, because things come up and I’m sure some people who reserved them won’t show up). I am so unbelievably excited for this, and I’m glad the schedule worked out so I have some time back home to recharge first. I had the best time in DC and NYC, but I was definitely exhausted by the end of it and ready to sleep in my own bed again.
- I was interviewed in Alicia Thompson’s newsletter, which I’m very obsessed with and hope you’re all already subscribed to, about a couple of the songs on my WTOWT playlist. (you can find the whole playlist here!) Alicia is one of the smartest & funniest & kindest authors I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, and I don’t think I’ve talked enough about how much I loved her upcoming book With Love, From Cold World. It’s my favorite kind of romance, where two lonely people finally find the person who makes them feel seen and understood and appreciated, and UGH it just made my heart ache. I read it in December and still think about it all the time. (Alicia also always brings the heat which I very much appreciate).
- I was also interviewed on Happy to Meet Cute by my friends Falon Ballard & Courtney Kae, and I had so much fun talking to them about no-writing retreats, writing dialogue, and, of course, Vanderpump Rules.
- WTOWT has now received three starred trade reviews (!!!) from Library Journal, Kirkus, and Shelf Awareness. Truly I have nothing to say about that but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I think Best of Books has some of the pre-order incentives left over if you still want to order a signed and personalized copy with the ghost tattoo & print! I’m going in this weekend to sign the rest of them.
I wanted to finish this up by talking a little about my next book, but I think I’m out of steam. But hopefully I’ll have a reason to come back to it sooner rather than later 👀
okay that’s it!!! love you byeeee!!!
